Extension of the cold rolling mill Voest – Alpine

Project description:

In the course of the extension of the cold rolling mill in Linz / Austria a track was extended by a wing. Crane runway girders, media bridges and a new hall building were constructed.

The special aspects about this construction are the two gantry cranes with a load-bearing capacity of 40 tonnes each (range category H3, stressing group B6, span 32 metres). The calculations and the execution were done according to Austrian standards.
