Apart from the large supermarket building with its roof-terrace, which can be used as a green roof, the closure of the ground floor and parts of the first floor posed specific static challenges. These challenges had to be met.
The hall was planned with untensioned jumper and element ceilings. The closed bottom part of the main building was a spatial support structure. The floors above the two-storey-high vehicle entrance were supported by a box structure. During the exe-cution of this task this box structure had to be supported by a corresponding space framework.
Two space joints were placed within the whole building structure, working with the fact that the length of the building is
almost 100 metres. While doing this, one space joint was constructed with Schöck-thrust bars. The complicated thermo-
technical component holder profiles were also implemented by the same company. The shoring of the upper ceilings within the area of the loggia panels were separated by ISO-cages in the above way. This area is especially subject to stress, since the loggia walls can not be used as a supporting function.
